| Holy crap, I haven't updated this thing in so long. I'm sure many people have stopped checking, but I'm not giving up on my xanga.
I titled this entry after the name of the cafe I frequent. This cafe is not your regular starbucks or coffee bean. Mouloud (pronounced moo-loo) is a puzzle cafe. I've found my new hobby. I realized I like puzzles. haha. lame huh?
I feel bad for all the people I knew at Starbucks. I walked in there the other day and they were like "Wow! Long time no see!" They asked me if I've been busy. I felt like I cheated on them with my puzzle cafe. So, I did what Bill Clinton did after he cheated with Lewinski. I lied. I just said, "Yeah, I've been busy." But who wants to pay for coffee when you can get it for free? (Yes, I get free coffee at my puzzle cafe)
The new quarter started on September 1. I've been busy busy busy. And I'm losing sleep. Koreans have this ability to tell you what's wrong with you to your face. They always tell me, "You look tired". Well, thanks. I think I know that.
One of my coworkers pissed me off like that. I was eating Hetban (microwavable rice) and this microwavable chicken. All I have to say is, it tastes freaking good. And, I don't have time to eat because I'm a foreign teacher and I have a lot more classes than Korean teachers. My coworker (I'll call him MC) decides to say, "You know, that stuff has a lot of MSG. It will give you cancer." Holy crap, thanks for ruining my meal you prick. This isn't the first time he's commented on what I eat. He always has to say something when I eat. Here's some info about MC. He smokes like a pack a day, and drinks frequently! Mother effer thinks I'll get cancer from some microwavable chicken?! Wow. That pissed me off. I don't hate the guy. He's actually quite chill. | | |
| In Korea, everyone is forced to recycle. This is a good thing, I'm not complaining. I have to buy color coded trash bags and throw them out into their designated bins. Green bags are for food garbage and white is for regular garbage. Also, there's a whole section for the recycling. Theres different boxes and sections where you put plastic bottles, glass bottles, paper, regular plastic, books, boxes, etc. This whole section is also being recorded with surveillance cameras. But anyway, I was recycling my ish and I see that someone threw out a bunch of mangas. I don't know if you've heard of 'One Piece' but I have. So, I thought, shoot I'm going to take all of these. I sat there collecting all of the mangas into a bag that I grabbed from the 'paper' recycling section. I take them to my room and sort them in order. I have volumes 9-25! Woo hoo! Now, boredom is at bay and I have something to do at home. I'm learning Korean and becoming a bigger nerd :] To Billy : Now I finally know what you were talking about when you said Hachi was from One Piece :D | | |
| Before I left for Korea, I told my brother (Timmy) to get photoshop onto my computer. I mean, I had no idea how to get it, so I needed his help. He is by far the more superior one when it comes to computers. But if any of you know my brother, you will also know that when it comes to punctuality... he works on 'Korea time'.
This past week, I was getting extremely BORED out of my mind. I have no TV, no internet, and I just finished reading my book. So, I had nothing to do. Lame huh? I decided that I'm going to try and download photoshop. I mean.. how hard can it be? So, the next morning I made my way to Starbucks, bought my hazelnut latte, and got to business. Google is my best friend. I got a torrent program or whatever, figured out which photoshop I should get and everything took me less than one hour. Puahaha. At this point I said to myself, "I'm a frickin genius!" I was mentally thinking "Booyah Timmy! I don't need your help! In yo' face!" But I'm sure he could care less about my achievement.
Since I don't have internet at home, I just made stuff with the pictures I took. Simple.
[No one wanted to sit next to me on the subway]
[the sun]
Update on some books I've finished reading. I've read both books of AJ Jacobs. I find that I enjoy his sense of humor.
[The Know-it-All. This book is hilarious. AJ Jacobs decides to read the whole Encyclopaedia Britannica from A-Z. Its a fun journey]
[The Year of Living Biblically. In this book AJ Jacobs decides to take up a new project and live life according to the Bible. Since I'm religious, I wanted to read it. It was entertaining and it made me think]
I like this guy. I wish I had a friend like him lol.

| Man, I really got to update this thing more often. I feel like I don't have the time. I actually could make the time, but I'm too lazy to wake up any earlier than 10.
I went to my very first Auto Show here. It was entertaining. I'm not really big on Korean cars, so I thought the selection was just okay... Barely any European car makers were there. The only Japanese ones were Toyota and Lexus (who belong to the same company anyway) and Honda. Kind of sad. I found it amusing because the men just stand there and take pictures of the car models and not the cars. They aren't even that hot. They are mostly just semi-cute. When they posed for pictures I almost laughed in their face. It was ridiculous. Oh well, I heard they get paid a lot. The only car company with male models was Audi. Yay Audi. Too bad those male models were like twigs.
[Toyota FT-H5 Hybrid Concept]
[I think out of all the cars I saw, this one was the best]
[Samsung eMX Concept]
[Samsung eMX Concept Back view]
[Back to the Future DeLorean! haha]
[OMG I laughed when I saw this car. This is Korea's first car. They called it the Sibal Taxi. Yes, Sounds like the notorious curse word, shibal]
I have more pictures but too lazy to upload them. I just upped my two favorite cars that were there and the two that I was glad to see.
Our Hakwon teachers went on a MT together. I don't know what MT stands for.. but its when Koreans get together and go some place, rent a place to stay, aka pension, and just kick it for one night and two days. It was fun. We went to this "island" called Kwang Ha Do. ? I think? Whatever.
[This was our Pension.. we had the top floor]
[This is where we ate lunch.. They give you 20 banchan! (aka side dishes)]
[I don't know where we are looking]
[This old school playground thing was fun]
[Most of the girls]
[Looks pretty right? Its not water.. its mud..]
[They are making a bet. whichever team loses the relay, owes the other team ice cream]
[Dinner is always meat at an MT. Yum!]
[Guys did an arm wrestling competition.]
[Girls did an arm wrestling competition.]
Oh! if you tell me which person won the arm wrestling competition, I'll give you a shoutout! OK, I also have a grip of pictures of this MT, but you all don't know these people so theres no point lol.
